We seem to have lost sight of anything good that has happened in our lives. The people that came into it and tried encouraging us, spurring us on in our journey of life. By bringing to our minds the negative experiences constantly, we have put our eyes way too down. So down that anything that rises above these horror is not seen.
In these times of uncertainty and skeptism, we really end up worrying about the actions of someone else. Always (& unfortunately) ringing in our minds is the wonder of the ulterior motive of the person who offers u some help, some relieve from ur stress, pain and frustration.
Even when u were offered to share a table with during a crowded lunchtime situation, u offer a weary 'thank you', & sit looking away from the person.
There are people out there who really cares, yet exploited. Sincerely give, yet take-advantage of. And interestingly, willing to go an extra-mile for u, to put that smile on ur face, yet people are scared of their warm, sincere and no-strings-attached love for a fellow being.
We have reached the point of being able to wallow in our own space, being sad and thinking as if people who display their concerns are fake, unreal and ultimately have a motive more than just care.
We’re in a world pretty scared of being cared for. Scared of being taken advantage of because everyone seems to want something from everyone else. We have become weary of good intentions because we cannot seem to let go of our bad experiences and move on.
If only we could look a little higher than the ground filled with bad moments of our lives, perhaps the light still shines, and there is hope for a better time.
Lets not be decieved by a few bad experiences and deny good intentions to enter ur life again.
