5 years.
Some see that as an ample period to have many tasks accomplished. Some placed a heavy stake using all of è 1825 days on è uncertain. & Some had their hopes shattered in that phase.
Foolish?
No.
Perhaps she thinks it's worth every bit of her sacrifice for something she pins her believes on. Perhaps she's happy enough to solely believe in her believe seeking no prove of its existence. Perhaps she knows it won't end in regret even if it means no outcome. Even if it meanshoping hopelessly for è hopeless for another lifetime.
Perhaps it's totally worth it, at least in her world it is. She was never taken seriously, neither had she taken herself seriously. No one's to be blamed though. She was just a child. A little girl back then. She used to be unable to vouch for anything herself, but now she's 20. All grown up into a more mellowed out person; mingling with a new clique of friends in a perpetually changing environment. Changes are inevitable in half a decade, everything & everyone's changing; but some things are stubborn. They never changes & they’ll never fade away. That something she felt for that someone still lingers. She swore that's not on purpose.
Other chances & choices are abundant.
She's open to them all; at least she tried. She gave her recovered hope to someone else; gave her best, then finally apprehended the fact that she couldn't really give at all to anyone else. She couldn't give up her five years' addiction afterall. She then gave up altogether.
For once I admit being defeated by fate.
